Atessa Hooshvar, MSc., RP(Qualifying)
Registered Psychotherapist (QUALIFYING)
Atessa Hooshvar is a Registered Psychotherapist, multidisciplinary artist, and community advocate, dedicated to helping individuals find meaning and purpose in their lives. With a foundation in existential therapy, schema therapy, Adlerian principles, and Jungian philosophy, her practice is deeply intuitive and rooted in the belief that every person holds the innate capacity for growth, transformation, and healing.
Having navigated her own life challenges—including migration, cultural adaptation, and survivorship—she brings a compassionate and empathetic perspective to her therapeutic work. Her approach combines evidence-based techniques with a creative, holistic lens, encouraging clients to explore their inner worlds and unlock their full potential.
As an artist, she draws inspiration from literature, music, and folk arts, blending them with symbols, colors, and stories that transcend cultures and tap into the collective unconscious. Her artistic journey reflects her therapeutic philosophy: to ignite self-discovery, connection, and resilience.
In addition to her clinical and artistic endeavors, she is committed to advancing community well-being. She has led workshops on mental health, positive aging, and settlement strategies for newcomers, and actively advocates for equity-seeking groups, including women, seniors, and immigrants.
Whether through therapy or creative expression, her mission is to guide others toward embracing their authentic selves and crafting a meaningful life narrative from their challenges.
